The human mind naturally learns through experience. Whether that mind belongs to a student, or a new employee, taking concepts and truly internalizing the information requires interaction with those concepts.
Educators and employers, now more than ever before, can capitalize on that natural ability by building interactive, guided experiences. Experiences that simulate real life scenarios, hands-on training, and crisis management, but can do so without danger to the student. Or the equipment.
Helping to design, script and implement those scenarios... Well, that's what I do.
A major university requested a scalable, easy to assess, roleplay for student evaluation. Most students agreed (88%) that the new experience was far better than reading about their chosen subject and almost as good as doing it. They all (100%) ‘enjoyed’ it and 92% said they would be happy if this were to replace standard exercises as part of the curriculum.
Lockout / Tagout
A major manufacturer asked for a training for the safety procedure to ensure machines are shut down, de-energized, and locked/tagged during maintenance. The procedure is OSHA ( Occupational Safety and Health Administration) mandated and is critical for workplace safety.
We created a self lead (top) and guided (bottom) training to demonstrate to proper steps when performing maintenance.
Training safety procedures in a completely separate, interactive platform allows a worker to learn in a safe environment. The learning space can be set up as a simple demo area, or made as a digital twin of the existing structure. Failure poses no danger to the learner, their co-workers, or the equipment.
